Relationship to Channels DVR

"Channels DVR" is a product of Fancy Bits LLC. ChannelWatch is a separate, independently developed monitoring tool that connects to Channels DVR's local API to deliver real-time alerts. It is not an official Channels DVR product, extension, or plugin.

Channel logos and third-party trademarks

Channel logos displayed in ChannelWatch notifications belong to their respective owners and are shown for identification purposes only (nominative fair use). ChannelWatch does not claim ownership of any channel logo, network trademark, or broadcaster identity. Logos are retrieved from the Channels DVR server running on your own hardware and are never uploaded to or stored by ChannelWatch's servers.

Why this notice exists

ChannelWatch integrates with Channels DVR by reading its local API. To do that usefully, it references the Channels DVR product by name and displays channel artwork that Channels DVR fetches from broadcasters. Nominative fair use permits this kind of reference when the name is used to identify the product being discussed, not to suggest affiliation or endorsement.

This notice makes that intent explicit. If you represent Fancy Bits LLC and have a concern, please open an issue on the ChannelWatch GitHub repository and it will be addressed promptly.

ChannelWatch is released under the MIT License. It is free to use, modify, and distribute. There is no warranty, express or implied. Use it at your own risk.

No warranty

ChannelWatch is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. The authors are not liable for any damages arising from its use, including but not limited to missed recordings, missed alerts, or data loss. Always verify critical recordings through Channels DVR's own interface.
